1992 :: Became interested in SLR photography in Thailand
1999 :: Began taking formal photography courses in High School
2000 :: Began career as a student-photojournalist
2001 :: Started using Digital SLR technology (FujiFilm S1 Pro)
2002 :: Began pursuing a Minor in Photography (Nikon F100)
2004 :: Experimenting with medium-format (Hasselblad 501cm)
2005 :: Large-format view camera and Imacon scanning (4"x5")

Backpacking

Before I could even walk, my father would take me hiking throughout the Island of Oahu on his shoulders.
My brother and I would camp in Kahalu'u when we were young.

Volunteering for the Oahu Invasive Species Committee to combat Miconia, Himilayan Blackberry and other dangerous species.

In August 2005, I spent a week backpacking Haleakala National Park, while enduring below freezing temperatures at the high elevations, the total distance trekked was slightly under 20 miles.
